The BitGive Foundation is the first 501(c)(3) Bitcoin nonprofit charitable foundation representing the Bitcoin community.  Its mission is to leverage the power of the Bitcoin community to improve public health and the environment worldwide. The Foundation focuses on charitable giving and demonstrating Bitcoin’s social value on a global scale through supporting charitable organizations with fundraising campaigns, education, and partnerships.  Several of its charity partners include Save The Children, The Water Project, Medic Mobile, and more.

Its primary goals include the establishment of a multi-million dollar investment fund to provide sustainable support to the BitGive organization and its mission and making financial contributions to sound and effective organizations that are working to improve public health and the environment.

The BitGive Foundation was one of the core inspirations for the BitHope project and we fully relate to the Organizations’ mission and goals. Much like the people behind the BitGive project, we believe in the amazing power of cryptocurrencies to help fund charitable projects around the world.  

The current active campaign on the BitGive Foundation website is “Medic Mobile Bitcoin Campaign” which aims at providing support to the Medic Mobile team working on the ground in Nepal and coordinating relief efforts after the devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015.

Our incentive to promote this campaign is a moral one.
