Imagine something in between a Gallery and Community Center, but with themes such as Sports and Youth, with an informational, social and educational (informal education) orientation, acting as an active point of common interests. A place where the spirit, culture, knowledge and the physical culture of the youth are strengthened.

Our current campaign in Bithope is related to the creation of our physical space - a club in which to develop administrative, seminar, project and in general every one of our development activities. At the moment, we cannot even think about our sports base, on which to develop our sports activities, but even a club where we can gather, work and create opportunities for follow-up actions, will be a significant achievement in our development.

To realize this dream of ours, 14,000 EUR are needed, which will be enough to start the club, its adequate equipment and its functioning for a two-year period.

The club will be a space with the following characteristics:

In this place, we will regularly organize student and general youth meetings, conferences with guest speakers, seminars, screenings, etc. with different themes. The club will also be an information point regarding youth opportunities such as education, qualification, trainings, exchanges, work, internships, volunteering, participation in projects, sports opportunities, etc.; there will also be available information materials on the rights and opportunities of young people in Bulgaria (through various ministries) and Europe (through the European Commission info center in Sofia), as well as opportunities under national and European programs, especially Erasmus; there will be information materials - about nutrition, sports, career and training opportunities, internships; information will be collected on the most frequently asked questions to be addressed with the help of specialists; sports groups will be formed, we will work on tourism initiatives; opportunities will be given to youths to be involved in the organizational process.  

The club will be free for students with a valid student card. It will also be free for organizing external events by youth organizations or on youth topics. Each visitor will be able to fill out a survey card with their details and contacts in order to be invited to future events; will be able to give feedback and suggestions about the club's activities; will be invited to join Footura's online communication resources such as the YOPPEE app, Viber channel, Facebook page and group, etc.

We plan for the club to be located in a building of one of the universities or in a suitable similar communicative place in Student City, and in this form the club will be the only place of its kind in the capital and the country. Information related to the center's activities will also be disseminated through participation in other events, online and physical advertising and informational materials, individual meetings, promotional materials, etc.

The project is related to the development of youth potential and uses the best place where this can happen - Student City in Sofia. This is the best place, as it is where the good years of a large percentage of young people from all over Bulgaria pass, as well as it is a natural center of education on the one hand, but also of the first independent life lessons - on the other. It is very important to have a center for informal education in this youth territory, where students from different universities can communicate and learn informally as well. We don't want to mention it, but in fact many of the youth, including students, have huge gaps in their general culture, communication skills, vision for development, non-formal education, soft skills, are physically inactive, have a number of unconscious dependencies, they are unaware of the possibilities under the European programs and especially Erasmus and others. At the same time, what they certainly need is an additional developmental environment that has a positive charge and beneficial impact for them. Our virtual (as it is now) and physical doors will always be open to the youth!

Association Footura has been active since 2013 with the following goals and activities:

For these 10 years, we have created hundreds of sports events, supported dozens of other quality events and initiatives, directly participated in the development of hundreds of youth by organizing/participating in youth exchanges, practices, job shadowing, internships, seminars, sports initiatives, etc. We also formed a Youth Club at the Association. We created the mobile application for youth and active athletes YOPPEE. During the covid crisis, we created major promotional campaigns and inspirational materials related to sports and active lifestyles to counter the total stagnation in society and in particular to help mentally challenged youth and disenfranchised athletes to play sports organized and even somewhat individually. All our activities are regularly and diligently covered on the website www.footura.com, social media channels, YOPPEE app, YOPPEE Viber group.

Footura’s main objectives are the development and promotion of sport as a tool for positive social impact. Our special target groups are youth and disadvantaged people, this is why we promote amateur and college sport in order to help these people be active and see the benefits of a healthy lifestyle – because we in Footura believe that everyone deserves to have a healthy and happy life. Through our rich experience and expertise, we go far beyond the framework of a sports organization and offer much broader public impact-related not only to sports but also to various other spheres. Another primary goal of Footura is to help young people to realize their sports, educational, and life (personal) potential. Footura combines several socially significant features in a unique way - sport and healthy lifestyle, sport and science, sport and charity, sports and youth, sport, and the UN SDG. For us, it is important that, although very difficult, we have development and success in each of these features, due to a lot of labor and persistence, demonstrating that we can improve society.
